The way I work.
Every icon/interface work I design has to pass through three different steps before being showed to the world.
During the first step the needed design work is discussed with the client until at least a couple of possible graphic solutions are found.
The second step starts drawing the drafts and it ends explaining the client how the purposes could turn out.
In case of positive answer about one of them, then comes the final step where the chosen draft evolves into the final form with colors, textures, details and shadows/lights.

Just a few words.
When I design an icon I create some art. But if most of art is free of any limit, the only limit of icon design is the final and full client satisfaction. This is the reason why I use to offer unlimited revisions.
